The Gothic scene is a wide and varied community that should be celebrated, and thankfully there are many opportunities over the coming year all around the country that will give you the perfect opportunity to dress up and enjoy an immersive experience with friends! Dollhaus Launch Party

The launch of a new monthly event for Goth music lovers, this is an event to meet up with new and old friends to enjoy the DJ’s mixed selection of old school Goth music, Dark Wave, EBM, and more while you chat and dance until midnight! Enjoy the chance to immerse yourself fin a new monthly tradition with some fellow Goth’s while enjoying the great food and drink available at the Scarlet Weasel!

Malthouse Theatre Presents: Nosferatu

A fun reimagining of the classic 1922 film, this adaption set in the Tasmanian town of Bluewater is a Gothic drama that combines the dark and chilling narrative of the original film with as Australian landscape. For lovers of Gothic literature and performance art, this play is a beautiful display of ghoulishness you won’t want to miss!

EMO CARNIVAL

An annual staple event for Brisbane and surrounding area residents who love Goth, Lolita, Steampunk, Rockabilly and Alternative style, this picnic is the social event of the season! Family friendly and with the usual prizes on offer for two best dresses attendees, this awesome picnic is a chance to not only catch up with your favourite Goth friends, but to make new ones and explore other gorgeous styles! Dress to impress in your finest outfit and bring your picnic basket to enjoy a sunny afternoon in lovely Brisbane! You will need to register for the Brisbane Gothic and Alternative Picnic to receive your wristband, and please bring your own chairs/blankets and assorted picnic items such as cutlery.

Goldfields Gothic Festival of Dark Ideas

With previous years including events such as film screenings, a burlesque show, and gin tastings to the Victorian picnic and croquet, the 2023 weekend will have events planned that will keep you entertained no matter where your interests lay! While some events will likely require bookings and will fill fast, there are many attractions suitable for all ages that don’t require prior payment! With the program being released in March, you’ll be able to plan your weekend in advance to ensure you don’t miss out on your favourite attractions!
